St. James CES Easter Food Drive Raises Nearly One Ton of Food
Fri May 4, 2007

The Vaughan Food Bank would like to thank St. James Catholic Elementary School in Maple for their continued support with their yearly Lenten Food Drive. They have just ended their 5th annual Lenten Food Drive with a total of 14 barrels collected. The students and staff are to be commended for their tremendous efforts!!

Since 2003 we have worked with the St. James School Council in organizing the Lenten Food Drive.Their food drives have been successful every year and we appreciate their continued support. St. James is one of the few schools that hold a food drive in the City of Vaughan during this time period. We encourage other schools within our area to also contribute to our community food bank.

The Vaughan Food Bank would also like to thank the local Vaughan firefighters who were on hand to help the Vaughan Food Bank  pick up the nearly one ton of food.

The Vaughan Food Bank is used by many families and individuals in Vaughan, because no one in our community should go hungry.

If you are interested in holding a food drive the Vaughan Food Bank will be happy to supply you with barrels, posters and pick up of donations.

Please contact Peter Wixson of the Vaughan Food Bank at 905-851-2333 to arrange your next food drive with complete support.
