SavourVaughan Restaurant Week Celebrates 2 Year Anniversary
SavourVaughan Restaurant Week is an exciting event returning to Vaughan this Fall:
October 16th to November 2nd, 2008.
Following in the successful footsteps of worldwide restaurant events in New York and Toronto, participating restaurants of SavourVaughan will once again offer three-course prix-fixe dinners at a cost of either twenty five ($25.00) or thirty-five ($35.00) dollars per person - beverage, tax and gratuity additional. New this year, lunch menus are also available at select restaurants so that consumers can take advantage of Restaurant Week in Vaughan day or night!
SavourVaughan provides steady business during a typically slower period, infinite exposure to all of Vaughan’s residents, and most notably, a tremendous opportunity to acquire new, loyal clients for the restaurants. It is also a great opportunity for the restaurants to showcase the hospitality of the City’s restaurant community. For consumers, it is a great way to try out a restaurant that may usually appear to be “out of budget”, or just test a new venue with little financial risk.
Over 25 of Vaughan’s finest restaurants will participate in this exciting venture that celebrates the multitude of international fine dining available in the City of Vaughan.
Over the last 2 years, participating restaurants have seen an enormous increase in business during this blocked time period, and have had a high rate of return business. To date, over 15,000 SavourVaughan meals have been served with more than $823,000 dollars generated in this time period.
SavourVaughan isn’t just about Food. The event invites consumers to experience all that Vaughan has to offer: from overnight accommodations, to shopping, to arts and entertainment, SavourVaughan positions other businesses in Vaughan to be a part of what has become a signature event in this City.
SavourVaughan also gives back! As a result of the success of the initial food drive, SavourVaughan in conjunction with the Vaughan Fire Rescue and the Knights of Columbus St. Peter’s Council will once again give back to the community with the 2nd Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive on Saturday, October 4th, 2008 at Fortinos on Hwy 7 and Ansley Grove Road in Woodbridge, benefiting the Vaughan Food Bank. The community, corporate sponsors and businesses are once again invited to support the Food Drive and feed the needy by donating at least one can of food when they come to the Food Drive on October 4th, or by making a monetary donation. People who do not have time to attend are still encouraged to participate. All information including corporate sponsorship and a donation form is available online at www.savourvaughan.com.
SavourVaughan is a celebration fine flavours - and a celebration of cultural diversity through its range of fine dining. Go to www.savourvaughan.com for a list of participating restaurants and menus. And don’t forget, make YOUR reservation early!
